My name is Yang Jiao, but you can also call me Jeanette. I’m originally from Shanghai, China.

I began my college journey at Syracuse University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, with a minor in Psychology. After graduating, I continued my studies at the University of Southern California, completing a master’s degree in Communication Management.

Currently, I am pursuing my second master’s degree at Columbia University, majoring in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences (QMSS). This program allows me to deepen my analytical and research skills, bridging my communication background with data-driven insights.

I’m passionate about digital media, communication strategy, and data storytelling—especially within the fields of entertainment, fashion, and education. My goal is to combine creativity with analytical thinking to better understand audiences and craft meaningful communication strategies.
